November Topbox!

Once again I got the notice that I got my Topbox delivered from Canada Post and then it comes the next day.  And this time, for some reason, the delivered it to my door and woke me and my hubby up about 30 mins before we had to get up anyway.  Random.

Anyway, last month was my first ever Topbox and it was kinda a disappointment, but this month's is pretty cool for sure.
Arranged so nicely on my laptop.

And here's what's inside and my initial views on them:

Haul Haul Haul! and NOTD and TNOTD?

Haha, so I have today off, which is bad because my mom is away and my dad bikes to work so I have the car to myself and no one actually kinda knows that I had the day off....so I was being bad.  I went shopping.

Sally emailed me a coupon yesterday for a free eyeshadow if I spend $10 before tax...well, sure I'll do that.  This is just after they emailed me a notice saying if I spend $7.25 more this month I get 15% off next month...so, well, I had to do that obviously.  Next month I am going to buy myself some hair scissors and a razor so I have those when I move away.

So I bought some Duo eyelash glue and some eyelashes to practice with so I can be 100% good at applying them by the time my wedding rolls around.
Just some basic lashes...nothing special. I also still have some individual lashes somewhere but I needed glue.

And I picked the Aruba Blue colour from the eyeshadow for free!
It's pretty sheer, but I think it would be buildable really easily, and since my eyes are still giving me waterworks, I don't really care either way at the moment, it's pretty so yeah.

Mini-Haul

I finally paid off all my credit card debt and now I just owe my parents money for them paying some tuition for college, so I finally have some spending money that is guilt free.  I have a steady income and most of it is saving right now so I have been spending it as well for stuff I need/want.  Here are some purchases!

I have gone on a bit of a nail polish rampage...I wasn't allowed to wear it during clinic or outreaches for school so I could only wear it weekends really and now that I am done school and a) my nails have grown a lot since I Haven't been massaging lately and b) I no longer have to be polish free when I work...I have bought and worn a lot more colours.  However, I am mega impatient and can't be arsed to wait around while polish dries.  I find it takes enough time to even paint your nails in a proper manner that when they have been painted I immediately get bored and want to do stuff, thus usually ruining my polish.  So, I love quick dry polish.  I love the new line from Wet'nWild the "fastdry" line.  They last alright, sure they chip, but no more than any other polish I have and less than some of the crappier brands so yay. And for less than $3 each that's pretty good. I have 4 colours from them:
"gray's anatomy"
This one is a duochrome or whatever, looks greyish in some lights and purplish or pinkish in others and somestimes even green, photos are crap quality from my phone.

(I ripped of the label so no name lol)
This one was the initial purchase because it's soooo bright blue and I fell in love.
"teal of fortune"
Can't see this one too great but it's a lovely teal shade, very mermaidy, however it stains your nails.
"sage in the city"
This is sorta the green I want my wedding colour to be, yay.

Here are a couple not from that line:
I love this one too, called "grey matter" as you can see.  Good creamy finish with no shimmer.
"night prowl"
A different WetnWild.  Do NOT buy.  I had to put like 4 coats on to get to the opacity I wanted and while putting more coats on it kinda move the sparkles around as you're brushing so it's hard to get it even.  Finally when it's opaque enough it's the same colour as my other dark purpley reds.

My Nail Polish Collection (Thus Far)

So I was thinking about doing this for a while, but never got around to it.  I kinda was going to do it alongside my makeup collection post, but that never happened lol.  So when I saw Leah do this, I was reminded of it and since I have the weekend off and nothing to do...haha, I thought I'd go for it!

Here's how I store them.  They're all just jumbled into a basket on my bottom shelf near my desk for easy access.

NOTD: Emerald City

I started out today trying to do a gradient nail effect from yellow to red.  That turned out horrible, so I just started over again and grabbed the nearest colour which happened to be this lovely green by Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear.  I am glad I did because I love the colour.  It took 2 thicker coats or 3 thin coats to get the shade I desired (2 on the thumbs for some reason I got more on the brush for them).  I think I shall do my poor naked toenails in this shade as well.

Sunny NOTD + Earrings!

I had the day off today semi-unexpectedly because my one work called yesterday and said a few people had cancelled so there wasn't any use for me to come in.  Kinda sad but that's how the industry goes.  So I've had a relatively boring day with the hilight being going to Best-Buy to get a new mouse.  My mouse decided to stop clicking.  My dad tried to fix it but it still takes a lot of force to click the mouse and occasionally it doesn't work.  My computer is slow enough without having to deal with a touchy mouse so I shelled out the $21 to get a new optical mouse.

On to the nails! I tried a few days ago to paint them yellow in the sun, but quick drying nailpolish + heat from the sun + wind = dries way too fast = sticky lumpy mess.  So I tried again today and I love the result.  I used a combo of 2 layers of Sally Hansen Instadri in Lightening and Claire's brand nailpolish from the non-neon rainbow set.

The SH gives the opacity, but it's a creme colour so it's hard to get it perfectly even without doing 3+ coats which is ridiculous, so I put the Claire's on top because it has a bit of shimmer which helps smooth over imperfections, plus it added more of a Taxicab yellow as the SH is a bit too light for what I like.

Custom Nail Polish

I got this idea from watching this pursebuzz video on youtube.  The only issue is that I am not a huge fan of nude nail polish.  When you have to have clear/no nail polish on for clinic at school, when you get to wear nail polish you want it to be fun and bright.  So I decided to try this with mineral eyeshadow instead of just mineral foundation.

So This is Where I'm At...

I realize this is kinda silly because I plan to go to the warehouse sale again and buy a bunch more makeup tomorrow, so I'll have to update again with more pics, but oh well.  I just spent the last hour taking pictures of my makeup and sorting through and throwing out a bunch (mostly lip stuff and nail polish).  So here is my stash!
